I promised the kids that we would take them up to the snow, before it melts, so Friday we went up to Yosemite for the day. Stacy already told me that this was NOT another photo trip…this was just for the kids. No stopping dozens of times just to take pictures, no waiting for hours until sunset….this is a family trip. No problem.
My goal was near Tioga Pass, since two weeks ago there was still plenty of snow there. Shortly after the Crane Flat gas station we saw a bunch of cars pulling off the road with camera in hand. A Bear! I found a spot and hobbled across the road and got about 20 pictures.

We continued on. We got to the May Lake sign and I noticed the gate was now open. Since I was there and wanted to see what the conditions were…I turned off and followed the bumpy road until we go to the trailhead parking. Lots of snow left along with boulders, trees and a bathroom. Perfect…we stayed here!

When the kids got cold, we had them change into dry clothes and I drove down another mile or so to Olmsted Point…just because. Stayed in the car, no pictures and went home.
Got home right before sunset….

I post all of my new nature pictures, random thoughts, and even my family pictures here. Some of those pictures never get posted to my
