Moonrise Over Mount Clark

Moon Over Mount Clark

I was done photographing the sunset at Glacier Point. I was just standing there and one of the tourists asked me if I were waiting for the moon. Honestly, I forgot and I really had no intention of staying. I figured by the time the moon showed up, it would be completely dark. So I broke my cardinal rule, “Never Pack Until It’s Black”. With that I packed up and went to find Josh.

Since he was still talking/shooting, I was just looking at the skyline, and I could see a glow from the Mount Clark area. I realized it was the moon. I shouted to the other photographers, “Here comes the Moon!”. I quickly grabbed my stuff and tried to get a photo before the moon actually rose. I missed it by 30 seconds.

Still pretty happy with these two…
