A Long Time Coming

I’m been doing a lot of shooting this past few days…finally. The family went to Monterrey Thursday/Friday. Had a high school football game last night and got up early today to check on my favorite local “scenery place”.

I got there at 6:30 am and had to wait a few minutes until the gate opened. Once there, I drove the road just to see how the conditions were. There’s less water this season, but that’s to be expected.

I decided to stop at one of my “usual sunrise spots”, but it became apparent that clouds would obscure the sun for a while. Got some nice colors behind me, but a parking lot and an outhouse doesn’t exactly say ‘WOW’. I quickly, and I mean quickly, drove to another location and tried to capture the light before it disappeared. Unfortunately, but the time I could stop, the great light was gone, but I managed to capture a few keepers.
