D. Ghirardelli Store in Hornitos California

Took the kids to Hornitos yesterday. It was a great day. The kids played in the park and I even played a little basketball….as much as I could without moving.

Since underbrush and leaves have disappeared for the winter, it was a great time to photograph the old D. Ghirardelli Store. The sign says:
“In 1858 D. Ghirardelli operated this store. Now owned by D. Ghirardelli Chocolate & Cocoa since 1852.”

Come to think about it, I had my tripod (I was using it as a cane), I should have used it to take a family snapshot. Oh well.
