For the Birds: Recipe for Peanut Butter Suet

Here’s a simple and easy recipe for Peanut Butter Suet that birds just love.

Ingredients
1 cup Lard
1 cup Chunky Peanut Butter
4 cup Yellow Cornmeal
1 cup Flour
1 cup Bird Seed
Crushed Egg Shells

Directions

  • Bake shells in the Microwave for a 1-2 minutes.
  • Crush the egg shells. I used a plastic bag and a spoon.
  • Add lard and peanut butter in the microwave for about a minute.
  • Add cornmeal, flour, bird seed and egg shells.
  • Mix

It should look like cookie dough. Spread it into your favorite log feeder or suet container. I refrigerated the unused portion. After refrigerated its a bit more solid so I use a big spoon to re-fill the log.

~ “Enjoy!” ~
