Since Tioga Pass opened last weekend, it’s time for my annual “Go to the Snow and Take Some Pictures Before the Snow Melts”, trip. I also wanted to take the kids up to the high country too, so my wife booked a room in Lee Vining for Monday night. We made a leisurely drive through the high country, stopping along the road so the kids could play in the snow.
Since nobody wanted to stay until sunset, we had dinner in Lee Vining and dropped the family at the motel and I went back to Yosemite to see if I can get a few shots at sunset. I decided on Tioga Lake since it was close, there was still some ice and hoped for the best.
When I arrived there (7:15pm), immediately I noticed a small reflection near the shore. I got a few pictures before the sun shifted and lost the “WOW Factor”…LOL!
