Air Force One Last Flight

Heard on the news last night that the last flight of Air Force One (McDonnell Douglas DC9-32; Tail #N681AL) is scheduled to land at the old Castle AFB at 1pm. So we packed up the family and drove to Fox Road and waited. It showed up on time and did a fly-by, wheels-up, and came around and landed.

In the process of taking pictures of the landing, my shutter quit in mid-click. I quickly turned the camera off to reset the shutter and switched to a different lens. Thankfully I got a few decent pictures of the landing.

It’s scheduled to be on display at the Castle Museum.
