Packing up my stuff at Convict Lake, I drove north to the June Lake Loop. This is another one of those places that I’ve driven by several times, but never stopped. By the time I arrived there, it was around 9am. The lighting was getting harsh, so I tried to find some pocket of mixed light.
I found this patch of shrubs and trees. There was still frost on some of the branches, so I tried to include some of that on this composition.

Had to stop and get this colorful display.

I had to stop here because the white Aspen bark had a yellow-orange tint to it. I’m just glad I didn’t get hit because it was tough to find a place to pull over!
