My Black Friday Adventure in Yosemite

I thought I’d have my own “Black Friday” this year. Since my wife was off and the kids didn’t have school, I was able to get the van and head to Yosemite. I got up at 3am so I could get up to Yosemite for sunrise. I had only two locations I wanted to shoot; sunrise at Valley View and sunset by the river overlooking Half Dome. The rest of the day I just “winged it”.

I got there at first light at Valley View. There was a cool cloud hovering by El Capitan and hoped it would last at sunrise. When the sun rose, the cloud lit up for a minute and captured this.

I’ll post more images as I get time to process them.
