Half Dome and it's reflection in the afternoon sun..

First Time Photographing Half Dome

I admit it. I’ve been to Yosemite many, many times since I came to California in the late 80’s. I probably have one or two snapshots of Half Dome. This is the first time I planned to shoot Half Dome at sunset. I found a nice spot along the river and I even brought my chair. I wanted to be comfortable. I knew the weather forecast said possible rain the next day, so I was hopeful. When I got there (around 2:30pm), there were no clouds. After about an hour the clouds rolled in. These are my favorite shots from that afternoon.
