Good Morning Little Tree
Sometimes it’s not always about the big picture. One on of my recent visits to Tioga Road, I set up my camera stuff to capture the early morning light above Mount Dana and Mount Gibbs. Saw this little tree in the shade and then the sun started to illuminate it. Had to capture it!

Fire on Ice
After photographing Mammoth Peak for the morning, I thought I’d scout the area to see what else I could photograph. Since it was still somewhat cold, especially in the shade, I found some ice on a nearby pond. Early morning light helped light up the area to an orange glow.

Small Roadside Waterfall
After I was done taking pictures of Mammoth Peak at sunrise, I took a drive past Tioga Pass and found some shade to rest. I found this small, roadside waterfall with some ice on the branches interesting and thought it would look good as a black and white.

Sunset Pictures Over Mammoth Peak
On this trip I wanted to stay in the Tioga Pass area so I could photograph both sunrise and sunset. After I photographed sunrise, I spent the rest of the morning in the Sawmill Campground/Saddlebag area, and I’ll post a few images later. I went back to “my spot” and tried to get some sleep.…
