Tunnel View at Night

Black Friday, Yosemite Style

Last year I planned on taking a trip to Yosemite the day after Thanksgiving. Had some nice fall colors. This year was more of a last minute trip. My wife works on Fridays, but managed to get the day off. Since we still only have one car, I figured I’d see if I could get the car for a trip to Yosemite. There were no plans, so I set on a departure trip of around 12:30. Tried to get a few hours of sleep, but that didn’t happen. Got to Yosemite around 2:30am under a near full moon. First stop was very cold (around 28 degrees) Tunnel View.

It was interesting as I was processing this. My wife happened to be looking at what I was doing. I hear a “What are you doing? I like the other one.” She told me “that one” had more contrast with the snow. So, I decided to leave it alone and pretty much process it as it was.

Always listen to your wife.
