Western Kingbird

I admit, I wasn’t going to even try to capture any wildlife on my latest trip to the San Luis NWR. My 300mm was a hit or miss thing, but I thought….what the heck. I actually got a few nice captures of a Western Kingbird, a first for me.

Sadly, I got a killer shot of a Red-tail Hawk as he was taking off, but it was too out of focus to use. Even the ones I got while he was just perching on a branch…all out of focus.
