First Outing of the Year

Merced NWR
I’ve been wanting to stop by at the Merced NWR for some time now. My wife and kids had they day off and for some reason, they didn’t want to get up at oh-dark-thirty on their day off. While I was out there, I had the pleasure of meeting G Dan Mitchell and David Hoffman.

Unfortunately my newly “repaired” 300mm still wasn’t quite right, so most of the bird shots went right to the “trash”. I liked the abstract-look on this one though so I kept it.
Sandhill Cranes

Was nice to see the sun rise that foggy morning.

Thanks Marian. I’ll have to wait until next winter to post more fog scenes.

I honestly love the photos. I hope I could also have a chance to capture the beauty of the place.
